The next meeting of the Council is to be held on Monday, 19 May 2025, and will constitute both the Annual Parish Meeting and the Annual General Meeting of the Council. Please see the Meetings and Agenda pages for details. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served for this annual meeting.

Job Posting - Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
The Council is currently hiring for the position of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. This is a part-time position (20 hours per month) with a pay rate of £15.00 per hour. Please see the Vacancies page for details.

May 6 - Seamer & Irton Community Award
A recipient for this year’s award has been selected and the presentation will be made at the Seamer Annual Parish Meeting on Tuesday, May 6th (7pm) at the Seamer and Irton Memorial Hall. Please join us to congratulate the recipient and to recognise their contribution to our communities.
May 8 - VE Day Coffee Morning and Bake Sale
There is a coffee morning and bake sale on Thursday, May 8th from 10.30am to 12 noon, at the Seamer and Irton Memorial Hall. This event is to raise funds for Veteran's Mental Health. Entry is £2 and includes coffee, tea and biscuits. Please see poster below for details.
May 10 - VE Day Garden Party and BBQ
Irton Parish Council warmly invites you to join us in celebrating this historic occasion on Saturday, May 10th. Garden Party starts at 3pm with BBQ served at 4pm. Please see invitation below for details.
Local Police Report
The local police report for April 2025 is provided below. The police have introduced Operation Trailblaze to tackle off-road vehicle disruption in forestry areas. These activities cause disruption to wildlife habitats and impact the safety and enjoyment of these areas by local communities. Information is provided on what you can do to help.
